Pleasant Pond is located in Francestown New Hampshire and is about 1 mile long and 1/2 mile wide at the longest measures. It is a mud bottomed pond with a few areas of sandy beaches mostly on the south and east sides.
A public boat landing provides access from Pleasant Pond Road, about 2 miles from the center of Francestown.
Water quality is quite good despite a significant amount of motorboat traffic that stirs up the bottom and reduces water clarity.
The Pond is home to nesting loons each summer and often we have been treated to a chick or sometimes two. |
